Cleaning and maintaining magnetic OKEY tiles starts with the instructions for the actual tile set and table. A product sold as furniture polish is not automatically approved for a tile coating. Do not use an old generic cleaning recommendation as permission to apply an unverified chemical.

Identify the set before choosing a cleaner

Keep the table model, tile dimensions and purchase details together. Ask which cleaning method the operating instructions permit for that configuration. Do not soak, heat, sand or modify the tiles, and do not return wet tiles to the mechanism. The appearance of a coating does not establish resistance to water, solvents or disinfectants.

Inspect and count the tiles

Check for cracks, loose surfaces, distorted edges and missing pieces. Set damaged items aside and contact support rather than testing them repeatedly inside the table. A damaged tile is not made suitable by cleaning it. Count the complete set against the agreed contents, distinguishing any spare pieces from the pieces used by the selected program.

Store compatible sets separately

Use a clean, dry container and keep drinks and cleaning products away. In a club, identify the container for each table without applying labels to tile surfaces. For a replacement magnetic OKEY set, provide the model, dimensions and photographs. Similar colour or numbering is not enough to confirm that two sets can be mixed.
